Here you can find a list of different United States Army Departments and Commands patches. For every patch we have added pictures of the insignia (some with variations) and some background information. The patches seen here are made during the World War Two era. We hope you find this helpful!


Antilles Department
During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Antilles region.

The insignia of the Antilles Department is a yellow shield shape with a red border. In the middle is a building, also in red.

 

 

Hawaiian Department

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Hawaiian region.

The insignia of the Hawaiian Department is a red octagon shape with a yellow 'H' in the middle.

 

 

 

Philippine Department

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Phillippine region.

The insignia of the Phillippine department is a blue oval with in the middle a white Merlion with a sword in his hands.

 

 

Iceland Department

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Iceland region.

The insignia of the Iceland department is a round shape with a white top and a blue bottom. In the middle is a triangle with a red top and a white bottom.

 

 

Canada Department

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Canada region.

The insignia of the Canada department is a white round shape with in the middle a blue line and a red sun on top.

 

Panama Department

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Panama region.

The insignia of the Panama Department is a yellow shield shape with on the left and right side a half red circle.

 

 

Training and Doctrine Command

The Training and Doctrine Command develops, educates and trains US soldiers and civilians for the us army forces. It also supports unit training, training in tactical formations and the supply of equipment for these units.

The insignia of the Training and Doctrine Command is a round shape with a blue, yellow and red vertical stripe.

 

 

 

Persian Gulf Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Persian Gulf region.

The insignia of the Persian Gulf Command is a green shield shape with a red sword and a white star.

 

 

Atlantic Base Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Atlantic region.

The insignia of the Atlantic Base command is a blue round shape with a red and white circle. In the middle is a white dolphin.

 

Greenland Base Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Greenland region.

The insignia of the Greenland Base Command is a white round shape with a red border. In the middle are three blue waves.

 

Western Defense command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the western part of the United States.

The insignia of the Western Defense Command is a diamond shape with a black W at the bottom and a yellow sun with a red background on top.

 

 

Southern Defense Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the southern part of the United States.

The insignia of the Southern defense command is a shield shape with a red, white and blue diagonal wavy stripe.

 

Eastern Defense Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the eastern part of the United States.

The insignia of the Eastern Defense Command is a yellow shield shape with red on top and blue at the bottom. In the middle is a yellow wave separating the colors. Over the shape are two tridents. 

 

Caribbean Defense Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US troops or allies. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Caribbean region.

The insignia of the Caribbean Defense Command is a blue circle with in the middle a white ship with the red cross on one of the sails.

 

Alaskan Defense Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the defense commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the defense of the Alaskan region.

The insignia of the Alaskan Defense Command is a blue circle with in the middle a polar bears head with a yellow star on top.

 

US Anti-Aircraft Command

During the Second World War, the US Army Anti-Aircraft Command was established to train officers and enlisted men in anti-aircraft combat, including the use of anti-aircraft artillery. It played a significant role in the protection of US troops during the war.

The insignia of the Anti-Aircraft Command is a white circle with a blue border and in the middle two red A's.

 

 

Eastern Anti-Aircraft Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the Aerial defense of the eastern part of the United States.

The insignia of the Eastern Anti-Aircraft command is a red triangle shape with yellow A's in the middle.

 

 

Southern Anti-Aircraft Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the Aerial defense of the southern part of the United States.

The insignia of the Southern Anti-Aircraft Command is a leaf like shape with a red background and a green border. In the middle are a green pyramid with yellow arrows pointing towards the borders.

 

Central Anti-Aircraft Command

During World War Two the United States had to defend itself in case of an attack on US soil. Therefor the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Commands were founded. Members who whore this patch were responsible for the Aerial defense of the central part of the United States.

The insignia of the Central Anti-Aircraft Command is an oval like shape with a red background and a green border. In the middle are yellow arrows pointing towards the borders.
